Milestones in Open Heart Surgery
A video that documents four milestones in open heart surgery originally performed at the University of Minnesota hospital: Atrial Septal Defect (1952), Ventricular Septal Defect (1954), Tetralogy of Fallot (1954), and Ebstein's Anomaly (1964). The video features an interview with C. Walton Lillehei, Ph.D., M.D., Professor of Surgery at the University of Minnesota Medical Center, and archival footage of the procedures.
