Postcard of a metal sculpture shaped in the figure of a female mermaid sitting and holding her fish tail on a light-colored, flat rock in the middle of a small pool of water. The sculpture's image is reflected in the water below. The pool is surrounded by light-colored rocks and weeds, lining the banks, and the golden lighting indicates the photo was taken at either dusk or dawn. On the back are postcard markings, a white, rectangle sticker, and a brief paragraph detailing the history and meaning of the statue.

Postcard of a small, two-story, cream-colored farmhouse, with an off-white, wooden, four-wheel cart sitting in the grassy lawn in front of the house's white picket-fence. The house has an L-shaped, covered porch on the front and left side of the house - the overhang supported by white, circular columns. Two groups of trees stand in the yard, one group on the front left of the house, and the other just to the front right. A small, white truck is just visible in the driveway on the left, while a windmill and standing water tank are partially visible past the trees on the right. On the back of the postcard are postcard markings and a brief paragraph about the history of the house.

[Postcard: Let the Kiss Free!]

Postcard advertising for two exhibitions at the Mexic-Arte Museum in Austin, Texas. The first exhibition, Kisses, opened on February 14th, 1990 and closed on March 10th, 1990. The second exhibition, Erotic Art, opened on February 14th, 1990 and closed on February 23rd, 1990. The front of the postcard depicts a series of "kiss marks," all but two of which are trapped behind bars. The text reads "Let the kiss free!"

[Rainbow & Veteran's Memorial Bridges]

Color photo postcard picturing the new Veteran's Memorial Bridge in front of the older Rainbow Bridge. These bridges connect Bridge City and Port Arthur, Texas over the Neches River. Written on the back of the card, "Twin bridges span the Neches River connecting Bridg City & Port Arthur. The cable-stayed Veteran's Memorial Bridge was dedicated on Sept. 8, 1990, 52 years after the Rainbow Bridge. The clearance of the new bridge is 143 feet; the old bridge is 176 feet." It is postmarked Bridge City, Texas on Sept 8, 1990.

[Danish Cultural Center Postcard]

Postcard of several lines of text and printed images regarding the Danish Cultural Center. At the top left, there is a line drawing of the "Pioneer House," which, according to the caption beneath it, was "one of the pre-1900 houses, restored and furnished to reflect the early lifestyle of the Danevang pioneers." The small image shows a a two-story house with a smaller, single-story structure in the background and two flag poles in the foreground bearing the American and Danish flags. The drawing opposite on the top right corner is of a long structure with a mansard roof, which, according to its caption, is the museum. It is "reminiscent of an old Danish barn, it houses artifacts of the early days of the immigrants plus displays of farming, community life and Danish culture."
