Copy of the original correspondence between Luis Menard and Governor Melchor Vidal de Larca y Villena. Menard asks for his detention to be suspended so that he may continue his business; Governor de Larca y Villena orders this be done and Manuel Ponce Borrego, the Justicia Mayor in Laredo, complies.

Correspondence between Domingo Cabello y Robles and Bartolomé Martínez, asking that José Antonio Queñones be apprehended and held until soldiers are able to retrieve him. According to the text he is guilty of various robberies, and had been captured but escaped; also according to the text he finally was captured two years later.

Correspondence between Governor Melchor Vidal de Lorca y Villena and Santiago de Jesús Sánchez concerning "bulles" needed for the townspeople.

Correspondence between Joseph Clemente Gutiérrez de Lara and Santiago de Jesús Sánchez in which de Lara asks for justice to be served over damages done to his ranch. Also included is an order from Sánchez for an investigation to take place, testimonies taken; according to the document the thieves were caught.

Correspondence between Joseph Nicolás Flores and Santiago de Jesús Sánchez. Flores wants restitution of a horse, which he has wanted for three years already; Sánchez orders an investigation ordered.

Correspondence between Miguel Ponce Borrego and José María Vidaurre in which Borrego asks for the return of a quantity of corn belonging to a defendant and says to continue the judicial process. Vidaurre responds by saying that he had a deal with the defendant but the defendant did not hold up to his end of the bargain.

Decree from Santiago de Jesús Sánchez saying that all children are to be sent to school where Juan Andrés de Islas will be the teacher. According to the decree, soldiers are ordered to enforce this law.

Decree from Viceroy Manuel Antonio Flores Maldonado citing a decree from June 27, 1788 allowing ex-Jesuits to have the money from chaplaincies or other benefits which came to them from family connections. The document itself is badly stained along its left and right side.
