Telegram sent from Alonso S. Perales through Western Union informing John J. Herrera to tell all organizations that the Fair Employment Practice Commission (FEPC) will be closing. Perales urges Herrera to organize efforts to write to President Harry Truman, Senators Alben W. Barkley, Wallace White, and W. Lee O'Daniel, and John Connally, urging for action on Senate Bill 101. The bill covered the "return of uses to states," and would leave minority groups without protection against discrimination.

An announcement on LULAC Council No. 60 letterhead for their dance to be held on Sunday, December 9, 1945 with honored guest Macario Garcia, winner of the Congressional Medal of Honor. Other special invited guests included the Mexican Consul,the Chairman of the Good Neighbor Commission, the mayor of Houston, Sgt. Cleto Rodriguez (another Congressional Medal of Honor winner), and other LULAC delegations from San Antonio and Laredo.
