[Log and Stone Buildings in Caddo Lake State Park]

Photo-postcard of buildings in Caddo Lake State Park. A central building of stone masonry with a large chimney has log cabin wings on both sides. These buildings were constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) in the 1930s according to designs by Joe W. Westbrook and Fred R. Carpenter. A handwritten note on the back is addressed to Mrs. Rosalie Newcomb in St. Louis, MO. It is postmarked Marshall, Texas, Aug 20, 1939.

Postcard of the Harrison County Courthouse in Marshall, Texas. A small tree stands in the foreground. The top right corner of the image bears a postmark from Dallas, Texas, dated June 27, 1908. The courthouse was designed by architects J. Riely Gordon and Cornelius Grandbery Lancaster in 1899 and completed in 1901. Postcard of the Confederate Monument in Marshall, Texas. Part of the Harrison County Courthouse is visible in the background to the left. A commercial building is visible across the street from the courthouse. The statue was designed by Frank Teich, carved in Italy, and dedicated in Marshall Jan. 19, 1906. The card was postmarked Sept. 6, 1907, Marshall, Texas, and addressed to Miss Irene Ferrell in Marion, Ill. Part of the message is continued on the image side of the card. Printed at the bottom of the image: "Manufactured by Curt Teich & Co., Chicago, ILL."
