Mr. L. W. Long and His Recently Seeded Field

Photograph of Mr. L. W. Long just after supervising the seeding of 125 acres of mixed bluestem grass seed on his farm. The back of the photograph proclaims, "Mr. L. W. Long, pioneer rancher, just leaving field where has supervised seeded 125 acres to mixed bluestem grass seed. This farm, recently purchased by Mr. Long, is one from which he purchased corn to feed his stock 25 years ago. The farm at that time often produced 50 bushels of corn per acer. Today it is best suited for production of native grass and this year Mr. Long is seeding all of the cultivated land to grass."
