The funeral was held on January 8th, 2003 at New World United Methodist, and was officiated by Reverend David J. Turner. Funeral arrangements were made through Williams Funeral Directors of Garland and Robert was buried in Tool Cemetery in Tool Texas. This program outlines the order of events for the ceremony including hymns, sermons, and speakers Janie Bush and Tom Hilbun.

The obituary lists his involvement within the community of Dallas, surviving family and ends with a request for donations to be made on his behalf to AIDS Services of Dallas.
