A horse-drawn buggy stands parked among a group of men standing in front of the building, and another group of men stand on the building's second floor balcony, which wraps around the building to connect with a set of stairs at right. A smaller one-story building is connected to the boarding house at left. Farther to the left is the town saloon, another two-story wooden building with a set of exterior stairs leading to the second floor, as well as a ladder perched onto the building's gable roof.
