Patent for an improvement of gang-plows by arranging the plows in rows on to a fame which can be fastened to a wagon, when the wagon is in motion, it causes the plows to work in vertical motion. The height of the plow-frame can be adjusted. Illustration is included.

Patent for a new and improved carriage top. This design consists in "the combination, with a vehicle-seat, a series of top-supporting bows pivoted thereto, and a jointed brace having its lower end pivoted to the seat and its upper end to one of the bows, of a rigid operating-lever having its upper end pivoted to said jointed brace and its lower end adjustably connected with the seat, whereby the position of the lower end of said lever may be varied and the brace and top secured in any desired position" (lines 51-60).

Patent for punches and shears combined to cut metal longitudinally.

Patent for a new and improved safe. This design consists in "a safety treasure-vault for express cars, &c., with the combination of the walls, floor, and roof of the vault constructed of bullet-proof steel plate riveted together at their corners, and the angle-irons to which the walls, floor, and roof are riveted, the bullet-proof steel-plate door, the parcel-delivery window, the combined desk-shelf and bullet-proof shutter, the said vault provided with a port-hole and the bullet-proof plug that stops the port-hole" (lines 21-31).

Patent for a new and improved stalk cutter. This design "consists in the combination of a suitable frame, which is drawn along by two horses, so as to straddle a row of plants, a diagonal guide for guiding the plants, a guiding finger or piece for guiding the plants toward the knife, and a rake for raking the plants in piles or heaps as fast as they are cut" (lines 13-19).

Patent for a new and improved steam engine. This design "consists in the construction and novel arrangement, in connection with a cylinder having bearings for the piston-shaft at each end and steam and exhaust ports at opposite ends, of an axially-elongated piston having opposite spiral threads or ribs of gradually-decreasing pitch from the end at which the steam enters to the end at which it escapes" (lines 19-26).

Patent for a hook and eye especially designed for clothing and keeps the area where the invention is being used is perfectly aligned and does not accidentally unhook.

Patent for a new and improved plow. This design "has for its object to produce a plow which shall scour or clean itself readily in sticky soil and shall be Light of draft. To this end it consists in the construction and combination of the point and mold-board of a plow" (lines 8-13).

Patent for a new and improved door check. This design consists in "the combination, with a wheel provided with annular offsets and journaled in a movable bearing, the brake, and the spring, of the sheath provided with vertical grooves for the U-shaped bearing" (lines 54-58).

Patent for lifting-jack invented by Calvin W. and Eugene Tanner. This lifting-jack invention is meant to be more durable in material, the material more inexpensive to acquire.

The invention "has for one of its objects the provision of a simple and inexpensive knockdown construction which will permit packing into compact form when desirable. Another object is to provide a milk-cooler having adjustable shelves of improved construction, whereby milk pans or pails of different sizes can be easily accommodated. A further object .... is to provide a milk-cooler of the water-evaporation capillary-feed type which will be strong, compact, and of large capacity and provided with improved means for draining, catching, and retaining the water, holding the fabric, and adjusting and securing the shelves" (lines 9-23).
