4,231 miles of high sensitivty airborne radiometric and magnetic data were gathered in southwestern Colorado. Data were collected on traverse lines 1/4 mile apart and on tie lines of approximately 6 mile spacing in five seperate detail areas primarily within the Montrose 1° x 2° sheet. All data were fully reduced and interpered by geoMetrics and are presented as six volumes in this final report.

The following report is the first volume documenting the high sensitivity airborne radiometric and magnetic data taken during the month of April, 1980, by EG&G geoMetrics in the western areas of South Dakota. This volume contains survey description, specifications, data processing methods, interpretation methods, and regional geologic review.

This report is one part of the second volume containing data on the Nemo Detail area in South Dakota. This volume contains the detailed geologic summary, interpretation report, standard deviation maps, pseudo-contour maps, interpretation map, flight line and geologic base map, individual corrected profiles, computer map unit histograms and statistical tables.

From introduction: This report relates to the first of the above objectives by describing stream quality in the Yampa River basin through 1976, with particular emphasis on conditions from August 1975 through September 1976. The content of this report is, at times, relatively technical. This is intentional. The report is aimed not at planners and decision makers but rather at those persons assigned the task of having to design, implement, and interpret a river basin assessment. The techniques and procedures used to determine ambient stream quality in the Yampa River basin have been presented in detail so that their applicability to other river basins can be determined. For the planner and decision maker, the results presented in this report are summarized in less technical terms in phase-l (Steele and others, 1979) and phase-ll summary reports.

From abstract: Four modified nonradioactive-tracer methods and twenty predictive equations for determination of stream-reaeration coefficients (K2) in three small Wisconsin streams were compared with the radioactive-tracker methods developed by Tsivoglu.

Abstract: Drilling for laboratory testing of concrete and foundation rock was carried out for the U. S. Army Engineer District, Chicago, as part of a major rehabilitation program at the Starved Rock Lock and Dam. The structures are on the Illinois Waterway. This report covers the work accomplished during the Phase II program entitled "Compliance and Scour Detection."

Dynamic test data from an experiment conducted to determine the puncture resistance of lead- and uranium-backed type AISI 316 stainless steel (SS) plates. The data is presented in line graphs. The parameters that were varied in this investigation were punch diameter, test plate thickness, backing material, and test temperature.

This report describes an investigation of the effects of stream channelization on fish and macro-invertebrates in low gradient reaches of Blacksmith Fork River and the Logan River in the floodplain of Cache Valley in northern Utah. Channelization adversely affected both fish and macro-invertebrate populations and biomass, with the severity of impact directly related to the amount and duration of disturbance of the physical habitat.

A report by the Office of Technology Assessment (OTA) that "evaluates the assumptions, methods, and results of the two current models used to forecast the number and kinds of physicians the country is likely to need and have" in order to aid Congress in creating policies of health services and health resources (p. iii).

From project objectives: The Sonora Pass region was identified by the U. S. Department of Energy (DOE) as a potential uranium resource area because of past uranium production at the Juniper Mine and reported high-grade occurrences in other buried fluvial channels which are Tertiary in age. The objective of the Sonora Pass drilling project was to obtain subsurface data that would increase the accuracy of uranium reserve estimates for the project area.

A study by the Office of Technology Assessment (OTA) that examines "the economic, environmental, energy, societal, and safety impacts of advances in the technology of high-speed aircraft, commuter, aircraft, and air cargo" (p. iii).

This report presents rock sample and uranium data examined from the Van Horn, Texas area. Over 300 rocks samples were analyzed for 30 elements.
