Mr. Cooper says that many college employees were interested in social security being added to their retirement plan but the TSTA created a pension plan that he claims would have prevented colleges or any group from being one of their members and obtaining group coverage in Social Security. He feels that college employees don't have much say in a majority of the changes to the teacher retirement plan.
