Patent for a steam train locomotive spark arrester consisting of curved pipe smoke stack that holds solid particles of exhaust on the edges of the pipe, which are expelled by the force of exhaust gases coming through, into the fire box thereby preventing their escape outside the engine reducing danger from stray sparks. This system also uses less fuel than previous systems.
