In the letter, which is dated April 24, 1941, Dr. Bodansky inquires about his hotel accommodations, and informs Dr. Stowers that he has developed laryngitis that may need attention at the conference.

Walton advises Carswell of the enclosed copy of the minutes of their meeting in Cisco regarding an organization for college students who are sons and daughters of World War Veterans, and he expresses his pleasure of having worked on the Committee with Carswell noting that he would see him at Hardin-Simmons for the inauguration of Dr. White.

A letter written to Major T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Texas, from Arthur B. Knickerbocker, Major, Inf., Commanding 34th Battalion, Texas Defense Guard, Odessa, Texas, dated May 22, 1941. Knickerbocker finalizes the inspection dates. Carswell handwrites notation that he wrote to Knickerbocker on May 13, 1941 to inquire if transportation is to be provided to McCamey.

A letter written to Major C.A. Dawson, 17th Battalion, Texas Defense Guard, Throckmorton, Texas, from T. N. Carswell, Major, 10th Battalion, Texas Defense Guard, dated April 22, 1941. Carswell replies to a letter from Dawson and advises of the local Guard's intention to use the full uniform for officers. He provides examples of how the items that are needed to complete a uniform can be purchased frugally.

A letter addressed to Major T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Texas from Fred C. Smith, Moran, Texas, dated April 21, 1941. Smith advises Carswell that he and several of the men will attend the Albany Chamber of Commerce Annual Banquet and wanted to avoid being absent for inspection if it was planned for the same evening. He expresses his appreciation for the courtesy shown to them by Carswell and the other officers and by the Chamber of Commerce.

He requests guidance regarding purchasing uniforms and advises regarding some funding that has been promised for their unit.

Banister expresses his appreciation for the offer by Carswell to make inspections and confirms that they will advise him as to the inspection service they may call upon him to perform.
