This letter is in answer to Perez's inquiry about topics to be discussed at the Texas Regional Convention to be held in Houston, Texas, on January 29 and 30, 1949. Topics are to include: the fifty-cent a month member assessment; and ways and means to advise the Legislature what action should be taken against illegal transportation and hiring of braceros in Texas. Also to be discussed was a proposed trip of LULACs to see President Truman about this matter and civil rights legislation.
