Her area has not experience raids for several months, but she expects that to change. She writes about the taking of "Savanah" (Savannah, Georgia). She says that the former slaves continue to leave to join up with the Yankees. She sends an update on family and friends, where they are, what they are doing and their health.

Letter from L. D. Bradley to Minnie Bradley, dated January 8, 1863 and sent from Grenada, Mississippi, in which he writes about disappointment in not receiving letters from her and information on the possible future movements of his regiment.
