Thomas Middlebrook Willis returned to Texas and opened his practice of law in Abilene, TX.

She goes on to mention the weather in Grand Rapids, where Lattimore is stationed, and discusses the weather in Waco. She mentions that her son is on leave in Richmond, Virginia, and expresses her pride in Lattimore's entrance into the army.
