Letter from Jacob I. Rodriguez to John J. Herrera, LULAC First National Vice-President, dated January 6, 1951. This acknowledges the change of dates for the Regional LULAC Convention and confirms that amended proclamations will be sent to the active LULAC Councils. Rodriguez also confirms that he will speak at the convention.

Onionskin carbon copy of letter from John J. Herrera, LULAC National President, to Frank M. Pinedo, LULAC Texas Regional Governor in Austin, Texas dated January 12, 1953. Herrera writes that he will seek re-election as LULAC National President and asks Pinedo to consider running for re-election as LULAC Texas Regional Governor. Herrera mentions Jake Rodriguez's trip to Mexico on behalf of George Strake's bid for United States Ambassador to Mexico. The letter also includes travel plans for Carlsbad, New Mexico and San Angelo, Texas, to visit groups interested in reviving LULAC councils. Post-script notes thatHerrera had received an invitation to Governor Allan Shivers Inaugaural Reception.

Letter from Philip J. Montablo to John J. Herrera, typed and dated January 17, 1963. The letter refers to judicial appointments in Bexar County.

Onionskin paper carbon copies of letters from John J. Herrera dated January 5, 1951. The front page is a draft of a letter to Mrs. Gus Gonzales, President of the Wharton Texas Ladies LULAC Council. This letter is a notification that the charter for their new council has been received and is ready for presentation. The back page contains a draft of a second letter to Jacob I. Rodriguez, Secretary Mexican Chamber of Commerce in San Antonio, Texas. This is a notification that the date of the Regional LULAC Convention to be held in January, 1951 in Houston, Texas, has been changed to January 27 and 28, 1951. It is also an invitation to Jacob Rodriguez to speak after the speech of welcome at the convention.

Detailed Convention Memorandum to all members of PASO explaining the purpose and procedure of the upcoming convention and instructions for hotel reservations and registration fees. The final two items urge members to organize an active PASO group in their communities if one did not already exist and reminds them to pay their poll taxes in order to vote. The memo is signed by Ed Idar, Jr. A handwritten note reads: "Paso a Paso Para adelante!"
