Patent for a new and improved easel and rest. This design consists in "[t]he combination, with the rest . . . of the bar pivoted to [a] holder by bolt, the perforated bar pivoted to [another] bar by [another] bolt, and the easel united to the [first] bar by a suitable round bolt" (lines 97-101).

Patent for a new and improved automatic car brake. This design "consists, first, in the combination of the draw-heads . . . connecting-rods . . . and a partially-rotating shaft provided with suitable slotted cams, which cams are attached to the brake-beams, so that when the draw-heads are forced inward or drawn out the brakes will move out of contact with the wheels; second, in the combination, with the slotted cams and a mechanism for moving them, of the rods which are connected thereto, and which pass through the brake-beams, the sliding sleeves, the springs, and the nuts" (lines 13-27).

Patent for providing the means for a switch to be actuated which will allow trains to enter or exit a siding of the track.

Patent for an automatic separating device. This device operates with a link that connects the float level at the top of the tank with a valve handle at the bottom of the tank to control discharge from the tank.

Patent for an upright cylindrical cistern made from sheet-metal. This patent "consists in the application to and around the upper open end of the cistern and also if desired at different places around the body of the cistern, of a strengthening ring made of either wrought iron or steel or other suitable metal tubing or piping, to stiffen the cylindrical cistern, said piping or tubing being suitably fastened to the cistern and being arranged around the outside or inside of the same, but preferably around the outside and closely hugging said cistern" (lines 10-20).

Patent for a new and improved cotton press. This design "consists of a horizontal press with reciprocating follower, worked by power, the press being arranged to receive the cotton from a chute descending from the floor above the press, the said press and the driving mechanism being constructed and arranged . . . specifically" (lines 7-13).

Patent for a cotton-press that makes "tightly wound bales from the cotton bats formed upon the condenser, and fed into the press" (lines 13-15).

Patent for a cotton-press that does not allow the cotton to rebound after the plunger compresses it because of teeth in the box. When the operator wishes to remove the cotton, the teeth automatically disengage in order for the cotton to be removed easily.

Patent for new and useful improvements in cultivators, relating to an attachment which may be applied to use upon any variety of cultivator with carrying-wheels, which provides efficient means for cutting cotton-stalks or weeds after cotton harvest.

Patent for a cultivator hopple. This invention is for setting the plows of cultivators at suitable distances apart. Illustration included.

Patent for improvements in the "combination of a wrench with a saw-setting device attached to the sliding jaw thereof" (lines 17-19). Includes instructions and illustrations.

Patent for an improved pile-driver device which automates the release of the pile-driver hammer as well as including a perpendicular device which advances the device longitudinally as the work progresses.

Patent for a new and improved lubricating device. This design consists of "[t]he combination, with the cross-head of an engine or other reciprocating part of machinery, and the guides or ways on which it works, of a reservoir for the lubricant, a wheel for taking up and applying the same to the friction-surface with which the wheel works in contact, and a spring for supporting the wheel" (para. 10). This design prevents dust and other pollutants from entering the reservoir.

Patent for new and useful improvements in Power-Transmitting Devices. "its object being to provide a device by means of which power taken from any suitable source may be economically transmitted and multiplied, for the purpose of driving machinery or other purposes."(lines 10-15)

Patent for a new and improved boiler. This design "consist[s] of a horizontal steam reservoir, a vertical cylinder provided with radial tubes suspended therefrom and forming a steam-generating chamber, all supported by standards placed underneath said horizontal steam-reservoir and outside of the casing surrounding said steam-generating chamber, and the fire-box placed under said steam-generating chamber" (lines 67-75).

Patent for an improved cattle-guard to keep livestock from crossing onto a railroad track or into railway property. This protects livestock and decreases railroad liability for loos of property. The invention includes a pivotal gate which runs parallel to the track that will go across the track to block animals if they try to cross the opening.

Patent for improvements to resilient wheels with shock-absorbing elements in the hub.

Patent for this invention has relation to the type of engines combining rotary and reciprocating movements in one structure, the purpose being to combine the working elements in such relation as to convert maximum percentage of force into available form for the performance of work.

Patent for a saw-gin which when constructed can run all of its parts with a single belt, which reduces the need for space allowing for more gins to be used in the same amount of space.
