A Guidance Program for North Texas State University Undergraduate Students Preparing for a Career in Medical Illustration
There are seven schools in the United States and Canada that offer a training program for students qualified in art and the biological sciences to meet the visual communication requirements in medical education and research. A survey of each of these schools in relation to the medical illustration curriculum of North Texas State University will give a broader picture of the educational requirements, nature of work, qualifications of the candidate, and the outlines of the curricula in this field. From this survey a guidance program will be determined to prepare toe undergraduate student for admission to medical school. This investigation of each training program will provide a better understanding of the variances of the medical schools which have departments of art as applied to medicine.

The Predictive Value of an English Achievement Test for Grades in Modern Foreign Languages
This study has as its objectives: (1) the determination of the degree of relationship between achievement in the study of English as measured by a standardized English achievement test and achievement in the study of foreign languages as measured by teacher's grades; (2) the determination of the amount of contribution to such a relationship of the achievement in various functional areas in the study of English as measured by the subtests of the English achievement test.

Relationship of Personality Traits of Students in the Same Major Field of Study and of Students in Different Major Fields of Study
The purpose of this study is to investigate the similarity in personality traits among students in the same major field of study and the difference in personality traits between students in different fields of major study. Investigation will also be made of the relationship between vocational interests of the subjects and their major fields of study.

A Study of Physical Education Programs of Negro Elementary Schools of Texas
The study is an evaluation of the physical education programs of ninety-one elementary Negro schools of Texas. The following purposes were established for the study: 1) to obtain information concerning the administration, conduct, and scope of physical education programs in Negro elementary schools of Texas; 2) to evaluate the physical education programs of selected Negro elementary schools of Texas on the basis of criteria such as Texas Education Association and documentary sources; and 3) to make recommendations for future development of the physical education programs in the Negro elementary schools of Texas.

A Study on the Stability of Self-concept
There are two major purposes of this study. First, it will attempt to ascertain whether self-concept, as measured by a self-concept scale, will fluctuate significantly due to a recent ego inflating or deflating experience, and if so, how lasting and in what areas are the effects. Secondly, it will note whether or not the low self-concept individual is more susceptible to changes in self-concept due to these environmental changes than the high self-concept individual.
