Boy's dress

Boy's blue and beige/white plaid linen ankle length fitted dress. Long narrow sleeves; ruffle of fabric at the wrist. Narrow turn over collar. Dress gored front and back. Bound in velvet crossed over buttoning up the front to high neck. Double ruffles at bottom of skirt. Trimmed with velvet ribbon and jet black buttons. Lined in muslin. Plaid fabric is indigo dyed, and most likely velvet cording is also indigo dyed.

Boy's Suit (Jacket, Pants, and Shirt)

Boy's suit. Coat jacket of red wool. Black revers trimmed in black braid with sailor style collar. Long sleeves trimmed with black braid. Slit pocket at left breast with black braid. Ten black silk jacquard covered buttons. Lined in black silk. Retailer's label at center back neckline: "Sanger Bros. / Dallas / Waco" Matching trousers of red wool with black trim on sides seams. Closure of black covered buttons at sides of waistband. Cotton interior waistband with buttonholes for securing shirt to trousers. Stamp on back left waistband (mostly illegible). Accompanying shirt of red silk front panel with ivory damask cotton back panel. Sleeveless. Shirt has ruffles down center front placket with 3 circular white decorative buttons. Pointed collar. Center back opening with 3 circular, white buttons and tailored buttonholes. Shirt has 7 additional buttons around hem which attach to trousers. Front panel lined in matching ivory damask cotton.

Infant's Gown

Infant's gown of white cotton batiste. Round neckline trimmed with ruffle of broderie anglaise. Eleven horizontal bands of broderie anglaise separated with shirring down center front. Hemline trimmed with a 4" band of pin tucks, two band of broderie anglaise separated with shirring and scalloped hem of broderie anglaise. Sleeve hems trimmed with three rows of pin tucks and ruffle of broderie anglaise. Center back closure of 4 pearl buttons on rectangular panel of three vertical bands of broderie anglaise separated by two shirred sections; gathers at base of panel.

Handbag of brown crocodile with two feet attached to front face; stiffened ridge at center and smooth sides. Single contoured handle with brass fasteners. Inverted rectangular frame. Lace-up boots

Pair of boots or "High Button Shoes" of gray/silver lamé cloth. The shoes, designed with pointed toes rounded at the tips, lace closed along center front with laces 18 holes high. The high heels are rounded at sides and back, tapering to center and flaring back out at base, and are curved at front. They are covered with the lamé fabric on the back and sides. The sole is of tan and brown leather, as is the cap on the heel. Shoes are lined in off-white cloth. Hand-written notation on inside lining, partly illegible: "37 / .... / 911" Measurements: Length: 26 cm Width: 10cm Height: 26cm Heel: 5.5 cm (2") high on axis w/cap

Dress of black silk matelassé. A) Fitted bodice of black silk matelassé with vestee of cream silk with lace appliqué trimmed in black and ivory braid in an Art Nouveau motif. High standing collar of lace appliqué matching vestee. Black velvet revers and trim at collar. Long sleeves with rolled back cuffs. Hook & eye closure at left of vestee. Vestee is lined in white polished cotton. Bodice is boned and lined in black polished cotton with center front hook & eye closure; 24" waist. B) Bustle-back skirt with slight train. Boots

Pair of lady's boots or "High Button Shoes" of tan leather. The shoes, designed with pointed toes, are of tan leather which close along center front with laces, 19 holes high. Medium/high heels styled as a modified boulevard or Louis heel, with rounded sides and back, flaring to base, and with curved front section. Heels covered with matching leather. Sole of tan leather. Stamped on lining: "H.Seligmann / Seguin, Tex." and "356 10146" Stamped on sole is a wreath containing an image of a shoe and label "Duchess".

Wedding shoes

A & B) Wedding shoes of off-white leather. The shoes have pointed toes, and a "Mary-Jane" style strap across the instep which secures with a domed opalescent button. At throat of each shoe is a rectangular ornamental buckle covered with matching leather. The medium-high heel tapers slightly to the base and is covered with matching leather on the rounded sides and back; it has the same natural brown colored leather on the heel's curved inside and on the soles of the shoes. Retail's label stamped inside one shoe: "Sanger Bros. / Dallas Texas" Stamped inside both shoes on leather upper: "36-2 68082" Measurements: Length: 26 cm Width: 9cm Height: 12.5cm Heel: 5cm (1 3/4") high on axis w/cap The shoes are accompanied by a shoe bag of tan colored raw silk with a Japanese character embroidery motif of blue silk worked in satin stitch. Drawstring at opening.
