A handwritten note on the border of the picture says "I guess the Mexicans make it but believe me I give them hell when I see them." Another note on the back of the postcard is addressed to Mr. Philip Simonean in North Oxford, Massachusetts and says, " I see a lot of stuff that is worse then Old Crow. Dear Pa, I hope the old Twisters are doing good. I think I am as hard as a rock now and I could work like a mule when I get back. I feel fine this life is just the thing to make me grow. Your loving son Henry."
