Interview with Rula Walid Bibi, Palestinian-born immigrant to Plano, Texas, for the DFW Metroplex Immigrants Oral History Project. The interview includes Bibi's personal experience with discrimination of Palestinians in the Middle East, childhood in Kuwait City, education at the University of Kuwait and Midwestern State University, family experiences during the First Gulf War and circumstances surrounding her immigration to Texas in 1990, thoughts on religion, experiences as a single mother as well as experiences of living in Wichita Falls, Dallas, Richardson, Garland, and Plano. Bibi talks about her first impressions of the U.S., her career in medical technologies, her marriage to an American man and his conversion to Islam, her involvement with political organizations, and thoughts on American education and foreign policy.

Interview with Italian immigrant Alessandro Buccilli, Director of Marketing and Sales Administration for Peterbilt Motors Company, as part of the DFW Metroplex Immigrants Oral History Project. Buccilli discusses his family background in Rome, Italy, his education, employment in the U.S., the shifts in perceptions about Italy and the U.S., social responsibility, learning English, his perspectives on the importance of language and culture, raising American children, and his legacy. Interview with schoolteacher and community activist Pat Cheek from Denton, Texas. In the interview, Cheek recollects her involvement as a member of the Denton Christian Women's Inter-Racial Fellowship in the 1960's and 1970's, as well as her memories of segregation, particularly in Denton. Cheek discusses her personal views and experiences when it comes to segregation, the street paving of the African American section in Denton, her decision to join the Fellowship, the group's activities, the involvement of husbands in group activities, the group's decision to disband, voter registration drives, and her lasting friendships.

The interview includes Beckman's personal experiences about childhood in Mexico City, relocating to the U.S., her decision to attend Graceland College in Lamoni, Iowa, her culture shock and homesickness, marriage to Curt Beckman, the decision to earn a Ph.D. in Spanish Literature from the University of Iowa, being hired at UNT, and her efforts to remain in touch with family members in Mexico.

Interview with Reby Cary, a professor, Texas State legislator, and civil rights activist from Fort Worth, Texas. Cary discusses attending Prairie View A&M, WWII service in the Coast Guard, segregation, his authorship, teaching at Dunbar HS, being the first black member of a schoolboard and the first black professor at UT Arlington, his tenure as a Texas State Congressman, experiences of discrimination, his experiences in the Civil Rights Movement, and his thoughts on Martin Luther King Jr., Barack Obama, and other black leaders. In appendix are photographs of Cary's various awards and the program for a Baptist service celebrated in his honor.

Lee O'Daniel, bills he sponsored, his impression of Daniel as House Speaker, appointing house committee members, his thoughts on the House Speaker as an office, public education in Texas, his thoughts on governor Beauford H. Jester, and his time as Speaker.

Interview with former member of the Texas House of Representatives H. Grady Perry, a journalist from Stephenville, Texas. Mr. Perry is also a brother-in-law to former Governor Coke Stevenson. In the interview, Mr. Perry recollects his thoughts and experiences while serving in the Thirty-seventh Legislature. He comments on several different politicians including Senator Joe Bailey and Sam Johnson, and also Governors Pat Neff, James and Miriam Ferguson, and Coke Stevenson. He describes his meeting with William Jennings Bryan and goes into detail about Southwest Texas machine politics.
