Patent for an improvement in a wagon-brake using an operating-lever that is mounted in a bracket near the front axle, and consist of diverging arms; and a segmental rack-plate with teeth that is arranged to be engaged by a sliding pawl. When the operating-lever and the sliding pawl are connected; when the brake-bars are in motion, clamping the wheels of a vehicle thus making it stop.

Patent for a new insecticide distributer using a bellows, a rotary fan, and a tube connecting the bellows to an insecticide reservoir; when pressure is applied to the bellows, the insecticide would pass through the reservoir to a flexible pipe that would distribute the insecticide to any direction without the operator breathing it.

Vehicle-Seat.

Patent for an improvement in vehicle-seats, intended especially for uses in wagon-seats, by constructing a supporting frame consist of two shafts, each having two cranks with two springs connected with the wrists of the cranks. The seat is supported upon these springs which are secured to the underside of the seat-board by employing two blocks that are safely attached beneath the seat. The movements of the springs preserve the horizontal position of the seat even when weight is unequally disposed. Illustration is included.

This design "provides an attachment to be used with the kettle, whereby the "boiling over" of the material and the consequent running of the same down the sides of the said kettle are prevented. Patent for improvements in grain conveyers by using a slotted platform with parallel walls on the sides, a conveyer-block having arms and friction-rollers that is moved by an endless chain in between the walls, a lever keyed on a shaft and two gears in constant mesh with each other; all these parts working together to creating a mechanism that drives the conveyers in either direction to accomplish the binding of the grains.
