Interview with Maurice Stamps, a serviceman in the U. S. Army during World War II. Stamps discusses growing up on a farm in Iowa, joining the army, going to Hawaii and staying at Schofield Barracks. He was assigned to the Classification/Assignment section at Fort Shafter without ever having basic training. He was later assigned to the Message Center at Ft. Shafter. He remembers his correspondence with his girlfriend Enid, whom he married upon his discharge in 1946.

Interview with University of North Texas Professor Dr. Pierina E. Mercado Beckman, Mexican-born immigrant to Denton, Texas, for the DFW Metroplex Immigrants Oral History Project. The interview includes Beckman's personal experiences about childhood in Mexico City, relocating to the U.S., her decision to attend Graceland College in Lamoni, Iowa, her culture shock and homesickness, marriage to Curt Beckman, the decision to earn a Ph.D. in Spanish Literature from the University of Iowa, being hired at UNT, and her efforts to remain in touch with family members in Mexico.

Interview with K.O. Dahlgren, civil engineer and Marine Corps veteran. The interview includes Dahlgren's personal experiences about being a PBJ co-pilot in the Southwest Pacific Theater during World War II, enlisting in the Navy, primary and secondary flight training through the Civilian Pilot Training Program, pre-flight training, basic and advanced flight training, and navigation school. Additionally, Dahlgren talks about his early interest in aviation, designation as an Aviation Cadet, the transition to multi-engine planes at Corpus Christi and his transfer to the Marine Corps, transferring to Cherry Point, North Carolina, crew formation and PBJ training at Cherry Point, advanced training, his personal views on combat and the Japanese, stationing to Green Island, "night heckling" missions to Rabaul, his assignment to and living conditions in Emirau, skip-bombing, strafing, and night bombing missions, rest and relaxation in Australia, his rotation back to the states, and his postwar career.

Interview with Josephine Bermejo, first generation of Bermejo women, for the Mexican American Women's Educational Experience Oral History Project. The interview includes Bermejo's recollections of schooling in Minnesota and Iowa, learning in English schools, leaving school for family obligations, and getting a GED in Fort Worth, Texas. Bermejo also talks about children's education and her thoughts on the future of Mexican American education. It includes an appendix with the Bermejo family tree.

Interview with Carlton J. Killgo, a Army Air Corps WWII veteran and POW from Slocum, Texas, who was shot down and captured by German forces. Killgo discusses enlisting in the Air Corps before the war, training and becoming a B-17 crewmember, deployment to England, his missions, getting shot down, capture by German civilians, transfer to Stalag Luft #4, experiences in internment there, liberation by the Soviet Army, and return to the United States.
