He talks about the weather and farming. He is expecting to see Claude this summer. He talks about Pitt. He mentions he only writes when he has something to write for. He hopes they are doing well. She is sorry for not writing but John was sick and she has been busy. She talks about Mrs. Moore and answers the questions she had about the well. She mentions the rain and how it didn't fill the well but was good for the crops. She talks about her bad luck with chickens. She talks about gardening. Mr. Gibson died. Wylie Horn died the day before he was to get married. She mentions the other couples that were to be married.

This is a letter from the Charles B. Moore Collection. It is written by Opal Drury to Linnet White and Mary Ann Moore. In the letter, Opal discusses that the family does not have any time to write due to the baby, notes that Clifford Chandler and the Harris children have the measles, and and mentions that they have a new carriage. Opal informs Moore and White of the successful crops in Greenville, and states that her mom has a successful endeavor raising chickens, hens, and partridges. She states that the baby is beginning to crawl and has one tooth. She also notes that she has "fell off so much," about 15 pounds or so and that they would no recognize her at all. She closes the letter by expressing her wish to see them this summer and hopes that they write soon. A name card for Dr. Benjamin Thomas White is included in the letter as well as an envelope addressed to Mr. Claude D. White.

Letter to Claude D. White from O. C. Harris regarding a payment for land that Harris is renting from Claude. He mentions a Mr. Wilson who is looking to get more land notes in case Claude is interested in a business deal with him.

Letter to Claude D. White from O. C. Harris responding to Claude's offer to sell Harris some land. Harris writes about the land and cost of things before telling Claude he needs time to consider the offer more.

Letter from James Jernigan to Mary Moore, Linnet and Claude White in which he updates them of the activities of family member, where they are going to school, and the crops. The children in the family are discussed, as are home improvement, and cooking. A note is on the back of the envelope that refers to money that is due and asking to stop one of two newspaper subscriptions.

Envelope from L. B. Price Mercantile Co. at the Price Building in Fort Worth, Texas to Linnet White, addressed as Mrs. Claude D. White in Manitou, Colorado. It is postmarked Fort Worth, Texas August 8, 1917. The date August 15, 1917 is also stamped on the front. The right edge of the envelope has been torn.

An envelope originally sent by L. B. Price Mercantile Co. to Linnet (Mrs. Claude D.) White, post marked in Fort Worth, Texas, on September 8, 1917. White then reused the envelope to contact the sender, causing the second post mark from Kansas City, Missouri, on September 12, 1917. The stamp has been removed.

Letter from the Charles B. Moore Collection. In Alice Griffin's letter, she notes that she has an experienced x-ray Doctor who has successfully treated a woman with breast cancer. She states that she will talk to her Doctor, but he will want to know specifics about Mary Ann's condition. She mentions that she and Birdie will do all they can for Mary Ann if they decide to go through the Doctor Alice has suggested. She closes by stating that Linnet needs to think this over and write her soon. In the letter written by Birdie, she discusses Mary Ann Moore's grave illness, mentions that Alice has also written about this surprising news, expresses her wishes to see her, and notes that she wants Linnet to write with additional news very soon.

Letter from Birdie McKinley to Linnet White. She mentions they are all doing well and how busy she has been. She mentions the weather and says she thought something bad had happened since she hadn't heard from them. She wishes she could be helpful to them. She mentions Minnie should be by soon. She went to a college entertainments. She talks about Frank. She asks about Ruth. Mr. Dave Barry got shot along with his cook. Bessie asked about them. She is glad they have good friends and tells Aunt M that she will be well again. She asks that they write to her because she is worried.

Letter to Mollie Moore and family from Birdie McKinley discussing family and local health, the sentencing of two men in her town, and miscellaneous news, including some about Christmas, other people who are going to write Mollie, and gardening. Birdie does not mention the crime committed in the case, but that the men involved were sentenced and she does not think they are guilty.

Letter from Birdie McKinley to Mrs. Moore, Claude and Linnet White, and Wilie. talks about the weather and how everyone is doing. He wants to send Birdie to visit them since they aren't coming to Tennessee. He says that a lot has happened recently, the National Bank got robbed. He hopes they like Fort Worth. He talks about the baby Mary Louise. He bought something by the head rather than by the pound, and hopes to make some money off of it. He asks about Ruth and Frank asks about her too. He took pictures of Lillian and he will send some pictures and one of the cabin they were going to stay in. Birdie hopes they are settled into their new house in Fort Worth. She says they are all doing well. She talks about her baby and how Frank adores her. She also mentions the bank being robbed. If the fire hadn't been put out they would not have known the bank was robbed. She says she is slower at sewing, but the children do take up a lot of her time. Especially Harry who has been sick all winter. She gives news on everyone and hopes they …
