A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Texas from J. D. Sandefer, Jr., Breckenridge, Texas dated August 30, 1948. Sandefer expresses his appreciation for the work done by Carswell on the invitation and program. He makes two suggestions regarding the program. One suggestion is to include the names of Boyd, Porter, Becker and Perini on the program which will increase attendance at the memorial service. Sandefer then confides that he has arranged for the Railroad Commission to have their October statewide hearing in Abilene on the morning of the 13th which will assure them of an outstanding group of operators to be present for the memorial service.
