Carswell states, "Mr. Caldwell, a fellow Board member, and I survive of the original Charter members of the Board, and I only of the founding committee."

Subject 40-7940 reports to the Board regarding his plans to live in California under the authority of the telegram dated March 16, 1955 to T. N. Carswell from the Board. Subject advises of a job opportunity in San Diego with an industry that provides jobs for those disabled such as he is and of his Government disability pay promising to report monthly and to return to Texas willingly if required.

A letter written to Mr. Jack Ross, Parole & Probation Compact Admin., Austin, Texas, from G. R. Klopfenstein, Chief, Bureau of Probation and Parole, Columbus, Ohio, dated December 19, 1955. Klopfenstein advises that in view of the information furnished to them in the letter from Ross that Subject 95040 has been recommended for parole violation. He advises that they may close their file but requests advisement if knowledge is secured of the "whereabouts" of the parolee.
