Fellbaum instructs Carswell and Vernon to address a letter from the clerk of Hidalgo County Local Board 2 regarding the instructions given regarding 4-F registrants.

Carswell issues an invitation to LaGuardia, when in Texas, to stop at Abilene citing the defense program at Camp Barkeley and Air Force Units located here, and, also, the University and Colleges advising that his visit would further the organization plans of the Home Defense Movement he leads.

Whiteside acknowledges to Carswell the receipt of the application and reservation fee for his daughter's admission to Randolph-Macon advising that they will write regarding her credits after receipt of her high school transcript.

He offers the assistance of the Department Headquarters if needed.

Col., Infantry, Asst. to the Adjutant General, Adutant General's Department, Austin, dated April 19, 1941. Banister expresses his appreciation for the offer by Carswell to make inspections and confirms that they will advise him as to the inspection service they may call upon him to perform.
