Back of photo as written by Homer Sharp (in black ink): "This picture was taken from the original, of The Old Doctor George Feris Home here in Richmond. This house was located between the end of Myrtle Street and Preston Street. Mrs. Frazar's Home is located on or near the spot where this old home was. Her home has got all the old lumber and some of the bricks in it, or part of the lumber and bricks the old home had in it. Dr. George Feris had two boys in the Jaybird Woodpecker Feud. Keene Feris and Yandell Feris, Keene Feris is the daddy of Mrs. Frazar and her sister Aunt Bessie Homner. Aunt Bessie let me have the original picture to make this copy. Dr. Feris is standing by the house in the front of the home and Aunt Bessie said she didn't know the names of the people on the upper porch, But was the Feris family. She didn't know when the picture was taken, or where the house was built, But the bricks was hauled from Galveston in ox wagons and she thought the lumber came …

Ryon has a gold neck chain fitted around the collar with ends that fall below the chest, where portrait ends. She has her dark hair parted down the center and pulled back into a tight bun. Ryon is wearing ear drop earrings.

She has a floral corsage pinned on her right shoulder. She is wearing a long necklace and her hair is loosely pulled back into a bun. On bottom of substrate: "Kersting, Galveston".

The photograph on left is portrait of Lizzie Lamar George taken by Kersting, Galveston (written on bottom of cardboard substrate of original). Lizzie was the third wife of Ezekial George. The oval portrait, shows Lizzie wearing a dark button front dress with rounded, velvet collar. She has a floral corsage pinned on her right shoulder. Her hair is loosely pulled up and back into a bun. The second photograph on right is a copy of an original tintype of Ezekial George. The tintype shows a bust portrait of George who has dark hair and mustache. The original tintype is cut in an oval and is placed in a folder. The back of the photo is stamped in magenta type: "A. S. Masterson Commercial Photography & Picture Framing Cathedral 7541 - San Antonio."

There has been an active Methodist presence in Palestine since about 1850. At that time the only local congregation met in Bascom’s Chapel, an extant building located at 812 N. Mallard, which has since been converted into a private residence. During the early 20th century the original congregation split, with some members establishing this church, the Centenary Methodist Church, and some founding Grace United Methodist Church, located just north of downtown.

Photograph of the 2nd capitol building for the state of Texas. There is a attached to the bottom right hand corner of the photograph a label that reads "The 2nd State Capital [sic]. Located on the site of the present Capital [sic], Burned in 1881." The land in front of the building is terraced and a pathway extends from the entrance down the terraces.

She served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1929-1933 representing Florida's Fourth Congressional District. She served as an Ambassador to Denmark from 1933-1936. The photo is black and white. In the portrait Mrs. Owen wears a pearl necklace and pearl earrings. Her hair is gray and is waved. She wears a floral print dress, only the collar can be seen. The background is all white.
