Photograph of a white, yellow and dark blue SAR Insignia medal with a statue of Nathan Hale distributed by the National Society, Sons of the American Revolution for their Golden Anniversary Congress, held at New London, Massachusetts in 1939. The medal is in the shape of Massachusetts, and has a quote by Nathan Hale on the back that reads, "I only regret that I have but one life to lose for my country." Nathan Hale is said to have uttered just before being hanged as a spy by the British.
