It was the purpose of this study, first, to determine how and to what extent a teacher can be instrumental in improving the health status of the Dallas elementary school child, and second, to ascertain the importance of a teacher's evaluation of physical aspects from the standpoint of their effect on the mental, social, and emotional well-being of the school child.

The problem of this study was to determine if juvenile delinquents who commit auto theft without an accomplice differ significantly in certain characteristics from those who commit such thefts with one of more confederates. The characteristics investigated were: (1) scores made on individual scales of the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory and (2) intellectual ability as measured by the California Short-Form Test of Mental Maturity. The purpose of this study is two-fold: (1) to evaluate an instrument for measuring the self-concept of middle grade children; and (2) to determine the relationship of a middle-grade child's self-concept to his peer status, his classification by the teacher as a problem in behavior or classroom management, and to his academic achievement.
