The problem in this study has a three-fold purpose: to learn the likenesses and differences of the small and large business offices of Dallas, Texas, in regard to their employment requirements for the beginning stenographer; to determine to what extent the average Dallas high school graduate shows the characteristics that are requisite for secretarial success; and to evaluate the learnings of secretarial students in Forest Avenue High School, Dallas, Texas, in view of these findings.

This study will endeavor to make a comparative study of seventeen children in the second grade in an elementary school in Dallas that attended private schools and omitted the first year of the public school, and seventeen children that are in the second grade after completing the first grade in the public school. The purpose of the study in comparing the social and academic status of the two groups is to determine if the non-scholastic child after a year of private school is able to adjust and accomplish an academic and social status on the level of the second year of the public school as compared with children of school age that have been through the first year and are now in their second year.

The carrying over of this program into other closely related classes such as, playground, art, auditorium, and music. 7. An ambition within each pupil to make his community life more desirable.

If the future citizens of tomorrow are to be educated, they must have, for one thing, at least, buildings in which to supply their needs adequately. This study is made with the realization that the physical plant does not make a good school, but with the idea that it does help a great deal.

The purpose of this study was to determine the present status of the Carrollton Elementary School, Carrollton, Texas. Further study was directed toward notations of major needs and next steps for improvement.

It is further proposed to gather sociometric data by administering a sociometric test to the residents of two homes for aged persons in Dallas County, Texas, and to illustrate by sociograms and tables the uses for which such data might be of value in research designed to investigate the personal social factor in old age.

This study has been designed to discover how the development of an integrating personality is influenced by defective speech; to ascertain whether or not personal growth is promoted by the correction of said defects, and to discover therapeutic measures if such are warranted.
