It is running down in the hill and emptying into the wash in the background. This wash is cutting directly across the filed and is over 100 feet wide and about 18 inches deep. Photograph of Elk City resevoir after a flood. It shows severe outting on backslope of dam. This dam overtopped its entire length before it broke. This picture gives an idea of the amount of water that was flowing over the dam before its break. This flood was caused by a six inch rain that fell in one night, three inches of which fell in 45 minutes. OK-5137.

Photograph of a specially-constructed grader made from an old road maintainer. It has no front wheels and hitches to the tractor for frontal support. The grader and tractor are equipped with lights and is now working three eight-hour shifts a day. The graderfixed up in this way is very efficient. OK-5167.
