Color tinted halftone postcard showing the Harrison County courthouse square in Marshall, Texas, viewed from the northwest corner. Only part of the courthouse is visible on the right. Commercial buildings on the north side of the square are on the left with pedestrians walking in front of them. Wagons and mules are parked in the street, and a streetcar is in the middle distance. Printed in black in the upper left corner of the image is the title "Square, Marshall, Texas." There is no postmark or message on the back. Printed in the lower left corner of the back is printed a tiny Curt Teich "CT" logo inside a circle. Printed between the message and address section is "C. T. Photochrom" and the code A-30231 is printed in the lower right corner of the message section.

Postcard from J. P. Eagan to George Pendexter describing the photograph on the reverse side as a fire in St. Louis on May 23, 1911 and saying that Pendexter's new fire truck "is a dandy" and gives a descriptions of its technical features. The photograph on the reverse side shows a large number of fire fighters working to put out a fire at one of the buildings in the city; Eagan says "This is one of several paper stock fire." Three of the photographed firemen are walking up the large pile of debris while most of the others are at ground level working the hoses and spraying water on the pile.

The photo shows a Webb Engine fire truck belonging to the St. Louis Fire Department in St. Louis, Missouri; the truck is parked outside of Station 43 in the city. Five firemen are also in the picture, four are on the truck and one is sitting in the garage entrance.

Postcard from Lillian Graves to Ora and Junia Roberts Osterhout discussing Lillian's recent trip home. She apologizes for not being able to see them while she was there, but her mother was sick. There is a picture of the San Fernando Cathedral in San Antonio, Texas on the front, and the description printed on the back says "This is the original Parish Church and the oldest of all these Spanish Mission churches which was erected by public subscription in 1732, and it was on the roof of this building that Santa Anna mounted his cannon in besieging the Alamo in 1836. The postcard is addressed to Misses Ora and Junia Osterhout in Belton, Texas, and it is postmarked San Antonio, January 9, 1911.

A number of buildings are visible on either side of the road including a building on the left with a sign that says "Mansbach - Pool and Billiards" and the First National Bank on the right (5-story stone building). A number of pedestrians are walking on the sidewalks and a number of horse-drawn and motor vehicles are parked on either side of the street, with trolley rails and cables running down the center. The postcard is post marked from Trinidad, Colorado, July 7, 1911 and is addressed to Mrs. Henry Horne, Hallowell, Maine.

A handwritten message is scrawled across the dedicated correspondence space as well as around the front of the card. The message in the correspondence space reads: "Hello Mame Skeet said to tell you he still loved you but I know he don't like you like I do Horace." The message at the top of the front of the card reads "going to moving picture show every night and am painting the town red white and so sweet blue." A message on the side and bottom margins of the front of the card reads "watch him go tho some old bashful barefoot boy but nevertheless he still loves son H. N." A message written next to Vincent Carr reads "ain't he cute the dear boy." The card is addressed to Miss Mammie Parker of Bonham, Texas.

Postcard of uniformed fire fighters standing near a hand-drawn fire engine. The engine has two poles on its front for the fire fighters to carry, and requires multiple people to move. The engine has the words, " Torrent Veteran" written on its hose. On the back of the postcard, the sender left a handwritten message that says, "Cannot find any cards of the Phila. Fire Dept. -Edna V. Johnson."
