Room 0202

Pencil drawing made of the interior of a room on the USS Monitor. On the left side of the room is a wall mounted sink with a mirror and shelves above it. Next to it is a rack of hanging clothes. A bunk bed is in the back middle of the room, with chains supporting the top bunk and lights and a vent on the ceiling above it. On the right side of the room is a chair at a folding desk, with upper shelves containing what appear to be hard hats. Toward the back right of the room, next to the bed, is a doorway with a curtain in it. On the bottom left of the drawing are the words "Room 0202 USS Monitor (Lsv-5)" followed by the date "1-21-45."

Cartoon

A cartoon illustration regarding security regulations being lifted. The cartoon depicts a security officer sitting a desk smoking a cigarette with his legs on the desk. A line of various military personnel, some wearing military caps and holding paper and pencils, extends from the desk to a doorway at the back of the room. To the left of a cartoon a line graph shows a large increase extending off the graph. On the right side of the room is a desk. At the bottom of the cartoon is the caption: "Security regulations have been lifted to the extent that it is now safe to release the News that, 'Dewey has returned from Manila.'" On the back of the page is a list of statements regarding the release of information to the press and other sources.
