He is also one of the few who devised Perso-Arabic based alphabets to write Burushaski. His Burushaski-Urdu Dictionary was published posthumously by the Burushaski Research Academy (BRA) - The NGO that he had founded. He is also known as "Baba-e-Burushaski" (the father of (Hunza) Burushaski).

Photograph of Ghulamuddin Ghulam Hunzai, a respected veteran scholar and a well known poet (Hunza Burushaski and Persian). He has translated the Quran into Burushaski language for the first time. He is one of the few individuals who devised Perso-Arabic script based alphabets for writing and publishing Burushaski in 1940s.
