This report discusses the summit held by President Bill Clinton and other leaders of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) on November 19, 1995. The report discusses the primary reason for the summit, an Action Agenda intended to lead to free and open trade and investment among its members. The report also discusses how APEC countries were divided on certain issues going into this summit.

As a result of an initiative by Australia in 1989, the United States joined with eleven other Asia/Pacific nations in creating APEC, the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation organization. This report discusses the annual Ministerial Meeting of APEC in Seattle, held from November 17 - 19, 1993.

Center back zipper closure with hook & loop and two snaps on outer layer of skirt at waistline. Ensemble of windowpane plaid woven polyester blend(?) in white and pink, yellow and green neon. A) Jacket with turndown collar and short sleeves. Cocktail or Evening Dress. The mid-length dress has a pink crepe under-dress/slip which is overlaid with a black net sheath embellished with lavish black bead-work in the forms of rose-heads forming a trellis and fan-shapes in the openings of the trellis. The dress is sleeveless, with a high boat neckline. At natural waist is an attached pink satin belt with bow in front. Center back zipper, with section of hooks-and-eyes at upper part. There are two labels in the dress, the Retailer's label "Neiman-Marcus" sewn inside at waist to right of zipper, and maker's label sewn inside near top of under-dress on left of zipper "Made in British Crown / Colony Hong Kong". With accompanying long rectangular pink chiffon scarf. No labels on scarf.

Evening coat of off-white taffeta overlaid with machine-made silk-rayon blend floral lace with white bugle beads and sequins throughout. Evening ensemble of heavy pink Alaskine silk/wool blend, consisting of a jacket and dress. The jacket is a cropped, bolero style, with rounded neckline and short sleeves. It has a center front opening with single hook-and-eye at throat. The sleeves, neckline, opening, and hem are edged in band of pink and crystal beads and rhinestones. Scattered over the surface of the jacket are clusters of pearl, crystal, and silvered beads. The matching dress is full-length, with an Empire waist. It is sleeveless, with very slight scoop at front neckline, and a deep rounded scoop to mid-back at back.The straps are heavily beaded with pink and crystal beads and rhinestones. The 4-gore A-line skirt gathers slightly into bodice. The dress has an inner pink nylon(?) sheath lining. He mentions that he'd take care of all his expenses while he's in the United States. He also encloses a statement from bank and if they need any more documents he mentioned not to hesitate.

Handwritten letter from Chester Nimitz to his father in Kerrville. Nimitz mentions taking the USS Decatur (DD-5) to Saigon soon and then Hong Kong. He anticipates getting to go home in August.

Handwritten letter from Chester Nimitz to his father in Kerrville. Nimitz mentions some trouble between the Moros and some Americans in the southern Philippines. He also outlines the summer plan of the USS Ohio (BB-12) to cruise to Japan. Nimitz describes a fire aboard ship in a storeroom next to a powder magazine. He mentions being glad to be away from the Academy and expresses a desire to have shore duty in Honolulu when his time comes. He also mentions going into drydock at Kowloon and seeing all the barnacles on the hull of the Ohio.

Letter from D. W. Kempner to E. R. Hill discussing about his recent trip through Suez Canal and involvement with Nanyang cotton mills. He also expresses interest in conducting business and offers to supply up to 2000 bales of cotton monthly with payment terms via sight draft New York.

Letter from Douglas Butler to Harris Leon Kempner about the certificate not being sufficient that's forwarded with the letter of April 18, covering silk material that he purchased in Hong Kong. As they don't have certificate of Origin, he asks Kempner to follow the instructions included in the letter from the office, dated March 25.

Letter from Elaine Harmon to Rigdon and Mary Emma Edwards discussing their appearance on the newspapers, her son's recent marriage, her son's life, a visit to the Dyes Air Force Base, and wanting to review a book.

Letter from F. W. Golding to Harris Leon Kempner checking if he settled down from his trip, and hopes that the excess baggage didn't trouble him too much. He also mentions that the weather didn't get any better after his departure, and that the three packages will ship on 14th of June where he included the certificate of origin just in case customs need that. He also mentions that they hope to see him soon and they could visit new territories.
