Anti-Semitism and Der Sturmer on Trial in Nuremberg, 1945-1946: The Case of Julius Streicher
The central focus of this thesis is to rediscover Julius Streicher and to determine whether his actions merited the same punishment as other persons executed for war crimes. Sources used include Nuremberg Trial documents and testimony, memoirs of Nazi leaders, and other Nazi materials. The thesis includes seven chapters, which cover Streicher's life, especially the prewar decades, his years out of power, and his trial at Nuremberg. The conclusion reached is that Streicher did have some influence on the German people with his anti-Semitic newspaper Der Sturmer, but it is difficult to ascertain whether his speeches and writings contributed directly to the extermination of the Jews in World War II or simply reflected and magnified the anti-Semitism of his culture.

The Hallstein Doctrine: its Effect as a Sanction
The Federal Republic of Germany (F.R.G.) used the Hallstein Doctrine from 1955-1970 to prevent the worldwide recognition of the German Democratic Republic (G.D.R.). By denying the existence of a separate German state and thus the de facto division of Germany, the F.R.G. sought to perpetuate the idea of one German nation and to ease reunification. In addition, the F.R.G. claimed to be the sole, legitimate representative of German interests, and hoped to prevent the G.D.R. from acting as a separate Germany in world affairs. As a sanction, the Doctrine effectively prevented the international recognition of the G.D.R.. Also, the G.D.R.'s trade with Third World nations, from whom recognition was most likely, was severely limited. Unfortunately, the Doctrine also prevented the reunification of Germany.

A Study of the Interdependence of Four Major Stock Markets Using a Vector Autoregression
The question for this thesis is whether the four major stock markets--the United States, Great Britain, West Germany, and Japan are interdependent or segmented. The study period runs from February 1979 to June 1987, with the Wall Street Journal as a source of data. The Granger causality test is used to test for relationships among the four major stock markets. The thesis is divided into five chapters-- 1) statement of the problem; 2) survey of literature; 3) methodology; 4) results and 5) conclusions. The overall findings of this thesis indicate that there are few or no comovement similarities among all the four stock markets. However, the findings do point out the significant influence of the United States stock market on the other three stock markets.

Letter from [Ludwig] Huth to [Ferdinand Louis Huth] expressing sadness and astonishment that all of [Louis'] property was stolen on the journey, asking why Vicar Pfanner hasn't written, and expressing surprise that Philip Schneider turned out to be so ungrateful. He also asks after various colonists and tells him that until the stock company for the colony is established, he will not use Louis' name in connection with it. Signed "Your dear and faithful father Huth" in August 1845. Also, Letter from [Ludwig Huth] to [Ferdinand] Louis [Huth] expressing surprise that he has been without news for so long. He includes new prices for passage to the colony according to the new prospectus. He discusses political and financial aspects of the colonization. Unsigned, possibly incomplete. Dated August 31, 1845 in Neufreystaedt.
