Conference paper exploring three case studies on how methods of retrieval of geographic data offered by libraries. The online catalog (Case no. 1) includes various materials available to users. Case no. 2 is Special Collections in general, including the Portal to Texas History. Case no. 3 is a particular collection digitized by UNT: The map collection of the University of Texas at Arlington.

This paper presents results of an exploratory analysis of representation of dates in over 8 million metadata records from the Digital Public Library of America (DPLA), and compares it to Extended Date/Time Format (EDTF) specifications.

Audio for presentation describing how being a student assistant at UNT Libraries impacted Holly Dolan. The presentation also includes perspectives from other student workers, as well as advice on how to improve library programs to ensure the success of student workers. This presentation was shown at the 2015 Texas Library Association Annual Conference.

Poster was shown at the Cross Timbers Library Collaborative (CTLC) Conference on August 7, 2015. It coincided with a presentation on the University of North Texas Libraries' Collection Map, a collection assessment tool used to provide additional data and increased flexibility. The poster gives the objectives, as well as the methods, results, improvements, and future applications associated with the system.
