Patent for a clothes pin made from spring metal that "automatically adapt[s] itself to lines of different thicknesses, and whereby the pin may be used to retain an exceedingly thin article in engagement with the line as effectually as an exceedingly thick article, the pin being capable of holding a bit of lace and likewise a heavy blanket or quilt" (lines 11-18). It is especially designed for use with metal clothes lines.

Patent for a new and improved bustle. This design "consist[s] of a single piece of wire bent in spiral form, said bustle being larger in diameter at its center than at its ends, and eyes or loops formed in said ends, in combination with a spiral spring located within said bustle, the ends of said spring being formed with eyes or loops, and cords or tapes secured to the eyes of the bustle and spring" (lines 52-59).

This design "is to provide a new and improved weather-strip, which is raised into a groove in the bottom of the door when the door is open, but is pressed down upon the sill when the door is closed. The invention consists in the combination and arrangement of parts" (lines 7-13).

Patent for the mechanical cutting and scoring of box blanks with illustrations.

Patent for a traction engine "for running on common roads and rails, and to be used for drawing plows, and as a motive power generally" (lines 8-10) including illustrations.

Patent for a nut-cracking mechanism that adjusts automatically to the size of nut with a variable cracking stroke.

Patent for a "mechanical attachment for pianos and organs whereby and musical composition executed upon the instrument shall be automatically recorded upon a travelling strip or band or, if preferred, on the cylindrical surface of a revolving drum" (lines 10-15).

This design "consists of a slide or continuous collar or ring, made of lead or other soft or compressible metal or material, having a hole so that it will fit or pass over the end of an ordinary bolt, and adapted to be pressed into the threads of the bolt and against the face of an ordinary nut by a suitable die" (lines 16-23).

Patent for a simple and effective stump puller that pulls stumps entirely from the ground using a large amount of force. The machine uses a series of pulleys, hooks, levers, and cranks.

Patent for a suspended rail-joint that improves on the anglebar railjoint. The improved design has the minimum amount of bolts, does not use railbolts, has a newly designed fastener, allowance for the rails to expand and contract, and adjustable guards against creeping.

Patent for an elevator sill that bridges the gap between the floor and the bottom of the elevator when the elevator doors are open.

Patent for a new and improved running gear for vehicles. This design "has for its object . . . to dispense with the reach or pole, and while doing this to provide for or avoid interference with the normal action of the springs, and to render it applicable to vehicles already in use. To these ends [the] invention consists in the employment of braces adapted to be connected to and permit the springs to have the required movement, and also of additional braces arranged between the body support or frame and axles, having the one a slotted plate and the other a slotted bridge" (lines 15-27).

Patent for a device to keep a coat from sagging or becoming wrinkled as a "garment-stiffening device" [Lines 83-84].
