McGill discusses a report from the Texas Rangers advising that there is no other course for the Governor but to revoke the parole. The action is being postponed, however, until Carswell can look at the file.

A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Texas from Marguerite L. Murphy, District Passenger Agent, Chicago, Duluth and Georgian Bay Transit Company, dated August 31, 1953. Murphy advises that a basket of fruit, candy and a card was placed in the cabin for Mr. J. B. Dalton as Carswell requested costing $6.48.

A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Texas from Byron Bryant, Director, The Division of Public Relations, Hardin-Simmons University dated July 31, 1959. Bryant expresses his appreciation for the contribution of time and effort made by Carswell in the building campaign meeting.

A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Chairman, Taylor County Parole Board, from G. R. Klopfenstein, Chief, Bureau of Probation and Parole, Columbus, Ohio, dated January 31, 1957. Klopfenstein expresses his appreciation for the willingness of Carswell to assist in the supervision of Subject 95040 in the case that Subject is not returned to the Ohio Penitentiary.

A letter addressed to Mr. H. M. Randall, Director, Board of Parole and Probation, Salem, Oregon, from Jack Ross, Administrator, Interstate Parole Compact (by Vincent O'Leary, Director, Division of Parole Supervision), dated March 31, 1958. O'Leary refers to a letter from Randall requesting a report on Subject OSP 22624 and advises Randall that the volunteer parole officer in Taylor County reports that Subject's conduct has been good.

A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Texas, from Wm. A. Blakley, Dallas 2, Texas, dated December 31, 1957. Blakley expresses his appreciation for the letter from Carswell, his regret in not being able to work out a speaking date at present, and his agreement with Carswell regarding the character and conduct of their mutual friends Ed Drake, Hugh Prather and Mrs. Cullen Thomas.

A letter written to Mr. Carswell from Mrs. Eugene Woods, Wimberley, Texas, dated October 31, 1957. Woods expresses her appreciation for the surprise from Carswell and his remembering them and that they enjoyed the candy and his visit. She expresses appreciation which was also sent from Madge [Madge Czichos] and her family.

A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Texas from E. M. Collier, Administrator, Hendrick Memorial Hospital dated December 31, 1951. The letter contains a notification by Collier of a Board Meeting. Dinner will be served.

A form letter addressed to a parolee from Abilene, Texas from Walter A. Gordon, Chairman, Adult Authority (by E. A. Burkhart, Executive Secretary, Adult Authority), Sacramento 14, California, dated December 31, 1951. Burkhart informs Subject that his application for Commutation of Sentence has been referred by the Governor to the Adult Authority for review and recommendation. The letter advises of assistance to be given from their office in preparing said application and provides a list of requirements pertaining to the preparation of the application.

A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Texas from the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles (Ruby Blackburn, Executive Director), dated March 31, 1954. Blackburn acknowledges the receipt of a recent letter from Carswell regarding Subject No. 117,300, that it was presented to the Board and placed in Subject's file. She advises that the Board reviewed the case and declined to make any recommendation but advises that the case for Subject is to be reviewed again in June.

A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Carswell Agency, Abilene, Texas, from Richard G. Kennedy, Supervisor-Traffic & Schedules, Pioneer Air Lines, Inc., Love Field, Dallas, Texas, dated May 31, 1950. Kennedy confirms that the forms and reports necessary for the sponsorship of Carswell's agency by Pioneer Air Lines have been completed.
