Photograph used for a story in the Oklahoma City Times newspaper. Caption: "Traffic on U.S. 66 will soon be flowing over, around and under this overpass now nearing completion at NW 39 and Grand blvd. This view in picture at right, looking northeast, shows one of two overpasses and part of a traffic circle that form a traffic seperation that ultimately will be part of a four-lane expressway to be developed along Grand blvd. The curving road in foreground is a temporary route for U.S. 66 traffic until the overpasses are opened. In final development, this will be a frontage road leading south through a railroad underpass over Grand blvd. Cost of the overpass and traffic seperation was more that $500,000. This picture at left shows relative position of the two overpasses."

Particle Distribution From a Unit Source - Part A
Thus we see that the derivation of elementary age theory is based on replacing the probability of collision governed by the Milne kernel by a Gaussian probability having the same zeroth and second moments. It is apparent that the age theory distribution will fail close to the source and at many free paths from the source.
