Interview with Rob Shivers, a Dallas-area LGBT activist from Birmingham, Alabama. Shivers discusses discovering her sexuality, her relationships, nursing school, church involvement, closeting and her marriage, jobs worked, moving to Dallas, the LGBT community, joining the Metropolitan Community Church and establishing a parish in Dallas, organizing the first Pride parades in the area, political activism and police interference, death threats, and the Kennedy Assassination.

Interview with Ramon Ruiz, a civil servant of the Department of Education and advocate for Hispanic education from La Copita, Texas. Ruiz discusses his family history, growing up, school in Kingsville, local relations between Mexicans and white people, high school football, playing for North Texas State, becoming a coach for elementary school, joining the Job Corps, teaching inmates, working with school districts on desegregation in Texas, and work on various federal education programs in Washington with an emphasis on Hispanic communities and cooperation with Mexico. In appendix is a biography of Ruiz and his resumé.

Interview with Arhtur B. Clark, a Texas National Guard WWII veteran and POW from Abilene, Texas, who was captured with the 2nd Battalion, 131st Field Artillery. Clark discusses joining the National Guard, training and maneuvers, deployment to the Pacific, the fall of Java and surrender to the Japanese, experiences in internment at Tanjong Priok in Batavia, internment at Changi Camp in Singapore, labor on the Burma "Death" Railway, and liberation. The interview includes an appendix with a reference page and a written flight log by Col. Tom Sledge.

Interview with engineer and Army veteran Mansfield Millington Bascom. The interview includes Bascom's personal experiences about the European Theater during World War II, basic training, action on the Siegfried Line, the Battle of Aachen, individual episodes of close ground combat, German tank concentrations immediately prior to the Ardennes Offensive, being wounded and evacuating from the front, recuperation, and returning to the states.

Interview with pastor and Navy veteran Harry E. Chase. The interview includes Chase's personal experiences while aboard the destroyer tender USS Dobbin during the Japanese attack at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.

Interview with Denton resident Cassandra F. Berry, UNT employee with a personal interest in the history of Quakertown, as part of the Quakertown Oral History Project. The interview includes Berry's personal experiences about working at UNT as the Associate Vice President for Equity and Diversity, as well as her service to the Denton African American Museum, which led to her interest in the history of Quakertown.

Interview with Raymond Curtis, longtime resident and school administrator of Weatherford, Texas, as part of the Weatherford Oral History Project. The interview includes Curtis' personal experiences of farm life in the Great Depression, childhood in Collin County, Texas, and education at the University of North Texas under the GI Bill. Additionally, Curtis discusses his family history, his career as a teacher, administrator, and coach in various public school districts, the integration of Weatherford schools, the school-building program, and his career as CEO of the Weatherford Chamber of Commerce.

Interview with Sadye Gee, a teacher from Dallas, Texas. Gee discusses her family background, working a laundry service during the Great Depression, education, teaching at B. F. Darrell School, marriage, her husband's career, the Black Chamber of Commerce in Dallas, black Dallas communities, buying a home in Hamilton Park and life in the area as an African-American, raising her daughter, discrimination, schools, the growth of the area, and "buy outs" and relocation. In appendix is a sheet of Gee's biographical information.

Interview with Jack Blanton, a Democratic Texas state legislator from Carrollton, Texas. Blanton recounts his experiences during the first session of 62nd Texas State Legislature in 1971, including his response to Governor Smith's deficit funding plan, state finance, education reform, taxation, his role on the Appropriations Committee, manipulation of stocks and insurance, the so-called "Dirty Thirty," ethics legislation, and redistricting.

Interview with Bruce Street, member of the North Texas State University Board of Regents from Denton, Texas. Street discusses his involvement with the merger of NTSU and the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in the 1970s.

Interview with W. P. Mullen, a carpenter from Taft, Texas. Mullen recounts his time living in Taft and attending Bayview College, Portland, Texas, in the 1900s and '10s.

Interview with Virginia Benson, a resident of Sinton, Texas. Benson describes life in Sinton in the 1910s and '20s and the area's growth and development over that time.

Interview with farmer-rancher Hazen Armstrong. The interview includes Armstrong's personal experiences about life in Denton, Texas, from 1910 to 1930. Armstrong talks about business activities around the city square and county courthouse, city streetcar service, Oak Street residences, the Cascade Plunge swimming pool, forced removal of African Americans from the "Quakertown" section of Denton to the east side of the railroad tracks in the 1920s, early automobiles in Denton, Denton during World War I, medical practices, childhood leisure time activities, Prohibition in Denton, the Great Depression, farming practices in the 1920s and 1930s, contrasts between banking practices of the 1920s and 1930s with those of the 1980s, and the oil history.

Interview with Charles E. Smith, community leader and longtime resident of the Hamilton Park neighborhood, from Dallas, Texas. Smith discusses his role in the Hamilton Park Civic League, of which he was president in 1973, the Hamilton Park School, its closure, integration and its effects in Richardson ISD, and the Pacesetter program.

Interview with J. B. Heinen Jr., an independent oilman, U. S. Army WWII veteran (2nd Battalion, 131st Field Artillery, Texas National Guard), and a member of the "Lost Battalion." Heinen discusses his experiences as a prisoner-of-war of the Japanese during World War II, including the fall of Java and capture; Bicycle Camp, Batavia, 1942; Changi Prison Camp, Singapore, 1942; building the Burma Thailand Death Railway, 1942-44; Kanchanaburi, Thailand, 1944; and his liberation in Bangkok.

Interview with Marler W. Owen, a United States Navy veteran from Dallas, Texas, regarding his experiences and memories of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor of December 7, 1941 while aboard the destroyer tender USS Dobbin.

Interview with Senator O. H. "Ike" Harris, a Republican Texas state legislator from Dallas, Texas. Harris discusses his experience in the 63rd Legislature, including: the legislatures overall political orientation; the effect of freshman legislators; Lt. Gov. William Pettus Hobby Jr's allies in the senate and his platform; the reform legislation package; the lobby; appropriations; the legislature's shortcomings; and his thoughts on the governor's office.

Interview with Bessie Morris, a farmer from Taft, Texas. Morris discusses her experiences moving to Portland, Texas from western Kansas in 1913, her experiences farming in Portland and Taft, and life overall in the region.

Interview with O. J. Curry, Dean Emeritus of the College of Business at North Texas State University in Denton, Texas, regarding his background growing up on the family farm, his own education, experience as dean and what sort of materials were needed in the business department, staffing difficulties faced there, and changes in the education system over time.

Clark also discusses her family's experience in Denton as well as her husband's feelings regarding Denton's Civic Center Park, on the site of Quakertown.
