Smith discusses his role in the Hamilton Park Civic League, of which he was president in 1973, the Hamilton Park School, its closure, integration and its effects in Richardson ISD, and the Pacesetter program.

Interview with J. B. Heinen Jr., an independent oilman, U. S. Army WWII veteran (2nd Battalion, 131st Field Artillery, Texas National Guard), and a member of the "Lost Battalion." Heinen discusses his experiences as a prisoner-of-war of the Japanese during World War II, including the fall of Java and capture; Bicycle Camp, Batavia, 1942; Changi Prison Camp, Singapore, 1942; building the Burma Thailand Death Railway, 1942-44; Kanchanaburi, Thailand, 1944; and his liberation in Bangkok.

In the interview, Allred describes some of his experiences as a member of the Regular and First Special Session of the Sixty -second Legislature. His topics of discussion include the origins of the "Dirty Thirty", the Sharpstown stock-fraud scandal, and his comments on former politicians Speaker Gus Mutscher and Representatives William Heatly, Frances Farenthold, and Tommy Shannon.

Interview with Dr. O. J. Curry from Santa Anna, Texas, the first dean of the School of Business at NTSU. Curry discusses his family history, childhood, education, becoming a teacher and high school principal, his marriage, getting his doctorate, the Great Depression, his time at the University of Arkansas and other institutions, his work with the petroleum industry during World War II, coming to NTSU, building the School Business, much about his tenure as dean, and his thoughts on business and education.

Curry, Dean Emeritus of the College of Business at North Texas State University in Denton, Texas, regarding his background growing up on the family farm, his own education, experience as dean and what sort of materials were needed in the business department, staffing difficulties faced there, and changes in the education system over time.
