[Southern Pacific railroad depot]
Postcard of of the Southern Pacific Railroad Depot in Beaumont, California, with thirteen men and boys posed for the photographer. At least five of them are holding bicycles. Other men can be seen in the background. A train with steam and tracks are visible on the right side of the postcard. The depot is prominent on the left side of the postcard with a sign that reads "To San Francisco 562 7/10 M., B[ea]umont, [Elevation 2556 Feet, To New Orleans 1925 4/10 M" showing the mileage from Beaumont, California, to other prominent cities. There is also a sign on the right side of the building that reads, "...Express." In the far background are mountains. Written on the bottom of the postcard is "S.P. Depot Beaumont." It should be noted that Beaumont, California, and Beaumont, Texas, are sometimes mistaken for one another. Handwritten on the back of the postcard, "How are you I am fine Come where oranges grow, Hudson Hall" The card is addressed to Miss Lula Wheeler Melrose, Tex.
