Postcard of the Westward Ho Hotel in Phoenix, Arizona behind the palm treeline. A note on the face of the postcard reads, "Spent the night in air cooled hotel and leave at 4 A. M. for San Diego. Arriving there soon all well at home Mamie." The message on the back reads, "Come from Safford to here this morning arrive here at 1 o'clock over a gorgeous drive. Huge these mountains. We are in air cooled hotel until six this afternoon. We're driving to Yuma arriving about 11 or 12 tonight - miss me." The postcard is addressed to "Mrs. Carroll E. Ward Texas Ice Co.
