The letter contains a notification by Collier of a meeting of the Board of Trustees which has been called by Mr. Anderson. Dinner will be served. Collier advises of a Building Committee recommendation for an additional story to the Minnie L. Anderson Building which is now under construction.

A letter written to Capt. V. D. Duble, Stamford Defense Guard, Stamford, Texas, from T. N. Carswell, dated March 27, 1942. Carswell acknowledges the receipt of the letter from Duble reporting the progress in the training of his guard company. He advises Duble that he will refer the letter to Major Alvis who has replaced him as Active Commander.

A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Texas, from E. M. Connell, Superintendent, Anson Public Schools, Anson, Texas, dated March 27, 1941. Connell expresses his appreciation to Carswell that he is to speak to the student body of the Anson High School advising that the program committee has requested that he discuss "Our Part in the National Defense".

A letter written to Mr. Carswell from W. M. and Lillian Lines, Perryton, Texas, dated March 27, 1971. Lines advises of an enclosed check for fifteen dollars for "working up" the income tax report and then describes the beautiful spring day wishing for Carswell the best of everything.

A memorandum from L. M. Fellbaum, Major, Q. M. C., Chief, Field Division, to Thomas N. Carswell, Clerical Audit Supervisor dated March 27, 1944. Fellbaum advises Carswell of an enclosed copy of a complaint from a registrant regarding the clerk of Hudspeth County Local Board No. 1 and requests that Carswell investigate and report.

Davis reports that House Bill 373 has passed the House, and that it will come up for public hearing before the Senate Criminal Jurisprudence Committee where the State Medical Association plans to oppose the bill.

A letter addressed to the Randolph-Macon Woman's College, Lynchburg, Virginia, from T. N. Carswell, dated March 27, 1942. Carswell acknowledges his receipt of the official notice relative to room reservations for the 1942-43 session and advises that he will not make a deposit now ascribing their no-refund rule under such conditions as out of place.
