[Van Zandt County Courthouse in Canton, TX]

Photograph of Van Zandt County Courthouse in Canton, TX. In the foreground of the photo, paved ground leads to a road that runs across the width of the photo, on which a white car drives as seen at the right edge of the image. On the far side of the road is a sidewalk that divides the leaf-strewn lawn of the courthouse from the road. A large tree occupies the left side of the lawn while two bushes line a short set of stairs that lead from the sidewalk to the courthouse's entrance. The building itself is made of white blocks arranged like bricks with a large, rectangular shape to the main structure and a flat roof. Two smaller rectangular sections, much shorter in height and stacked one on top of the other, sit on the roof of the main part of the building. A row of short windows runs along the width of the courthouse just above the ground while a row of much taller windows spans the rest of the building's wall space.

[Freestone County Courthouse in Fairfield, TX]

Photograph of Freestone County Courthouse in Fairfield, TX. A multi-lane road occupies the photo's foreground and is divided from a parking lot by a concrete median. The lot is empty and fills the space between the road and the courthouse. Near the curb dividing the parking lot from the courthouse's lawn is a telephone pole and two small payphones, all sitting in the left half of the image. On the opposite side of the lawn is a white pole and a small cannon. Trees with and without leaves, as well as small bushes, occupy various spots across the lawn. A walkway divides the lawn into halves leading from the parking lot to the front doors of the courthouse. The building is made of orange bricks with white stone accents in small amounts. The entrance includes a short set of stairs leading from the walkway to the red front doors of the building, which are shaded by an overhead projecting section of the courthouse that sits on four tall white columns. The entire entrance portion of the building projects outward from a wider section of the courthouse, which itself has a wider section behind it, creating a three-tiered appearance. Across all …

[Henderson County Courthouse in Athens, TX]

Photograph of Henderson County Courthouse in Athens, TX. A multi-lane road runs across the bottom of the photo, separated from a parking lot by a yellow curb. A single car sits in the parking lot in front of a sidewalk lined with parking meters. Beyond the sidewalk is the yellow lawn of the courthouse, occupied by tall leafless trees and short bushes. In the right side of the photo, four people stand around a tall bush while facing the courthouse. A concrete walkway in the left side of the photo leads from the edge of the parking lot to the set of stairs leading to the building's front doors. The entrance of the courthouse includes two glass doors set into white frames with a small triangular pediment above them while a larger pediment sits above all three of the building's floors, affixed to the edge of the courthouse's flat roof. Four white columns support the large pediment, two on either side of the front doors, and rest on white rectangular bases. The section of the building that the pediment and front doors are attached to has two additional sections diagonally connected to it, one of the left and one on …

[Kaufman County Courthouse in Kaufman, TX]

Photograph of Kaufman County Courthouse in Kaufman, TX. The courthouse sits in front of a paved road which runs from the bottom left corner of the image to the right side, intersecting with a second road at the bottom of the photo. The corner of a sidewalk appears above the bottom right corner, occupied by a streetlight and a fire hydrant, as well as a short post reading "S Jackson" on its left side and "Nulserry" on its right. On the opposite side of the road, a sidewalk separates the pavement from the courthouse's lawn and is lined with parking meters. Growing in the lawn are small bushes and a few small trees, mostly planted around the three short white brick walls sitting in front of the courthouse's entrance. Two walkways run from the sidewalk, between the short walls, and up to the front doors of the courthouse, passing by a white statue on a tall rectangular base. The statue appears to be of a person holding a rifle while wearing a hat. The courthouse surrounds the statue as it consists of three tall rectangular sections, with one facing the sidewalk and sitting farther back while the other two are …
