McMichael acknowledges receipt of the pre-parole investigation report regarding Inmate 95040 OP and advises of his pending release noting he has be instructed to report to Mr. T. N. Carswell.

A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Chairman, Taylor County Parole Board, from Vincent O'Leary, Director, Division of Parole Supervision, by John W. Walton, Supervisor, Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles, dated March 26, 1958. Walton apologizes to Carswell for the error in their letter regarding the reporting intervals required of Subject No. Calif. 17095. In addition to reporting in person every six months he requests that Subject make a written report each month.

A letter addressed to the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles, from T. N. Carswell, Chairman, Taylor County Voluntary Parole Board, dated September 26, 1958. Carswell gives to the Board his recommendation for Subject to file an application for a full pardon and restoration.

A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Texas, from Fred E. Young, Department Adjutant, The American Legion, Austin, Texas, dated November 26, 1941. Young requests that Carswell attend the Officer's Conference in Big Spring and that he discuss the program for the Membership Committee for 1942.

A letter written to Legionnaire A. W. Cline, Com., Harry F. Edmondson Post 289, The American Legion, Goldthwaite, Texas, from Harry E. Rather, Department Adjutant, The American Legion, Austin, Texas, dated July 26, 1943. Copy to Thos. N. Carswell. Rather explains regarding the prizes won by Cline and his Post at Goldthwaite pertaining to the Legion membership drive and offers the congratulations of the Department of Texas for their success in growing their membership.

A letter written to Senator Ratliff, from T. N. Carswell, dated January 26, 1957. Carswell expresses his appreciation to Ratliff for providing the Probation literature as requested and offers his views on the "Right to Work" laws, the issue of more local and less state and national government and the membership of government employees in unions. He advises that the next Texas senator should be elected by Texans and touches on the segregation question for Texas.

A letter addressed to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Texas, from David W. Ratliff, The Senate of the State of Texas, Austin, dated May 26, 1959. Ratliff expresses his appreciation for the letter from Carswell regarding taxes, acknowledges the difficulty of the entire financial program and advises that Representative Atwell is considering introducing a resolution to provide a joint committee such as Carswell suggests.

A letter written to Neill H. Banister, Lieut. Col., Infantry, Asst. to the Adjutant General, Austin, Texas, from T. N. Carswell, Major, Inf., 10th Battalion, Texas Defense Guard, dated June 26, 1941. Carswell refers to the letters of June 17 from Banister regarding the inspection and requests that they discuss these matters in Austin.

A letter addressed to the Secretary of State, Austin, Texas, from T. N. Carswell, dated January 26, 1946. Carswell advises that he would like to apply for a charter under one of the following names requesting they indicate which ones are open for use: Texas Automobile Association, Texas Auto Association, Texas Automobile Club, Texas Auto Club, Texas Motor Club.
