A letter written to Mr. R. N. McMichael, Placement Supervisor, Ohio Penitentiary, from Richard H. Brooks, M. D., Medical Director, James Hospital, dated August 26, 1954. Brooks advises McMichael that the medical records of Inmate No. 95040 have been reviewed and has retained the "No Occupational Restrictions" classification given shortly after arrival at the penitentiary.

A letter written to Senator Ratliff, from T. N. Carswell, dated January 26, 1957. Carswell expresses his appreciation to Ratliff for providing the Probation literature as requested and offers his views on the "Right to Work" laws, the issue of more local and less state and national government and the membership of government employees in unions. He advises that the next Texas senator should be elected by Texans and touches on the segregation question for Texas.

Carswell, Partner dated July 2, 1952. Carswell refers to the letter from Davis dated June 26, 1952 and advises Davis regarding the work rendered by Mrs. Gay in the Agency thus the method of payment of her salary in regards to her tax return.

LaMaster requests that Carswell and Judge Ely attend the meeting.
